Typical stone beach near Batumi, in Adjara on the Black Sea coast near Turkey. Those look like warships on the horizon. Most of the men are uniformed officers out to see the fleet pass by. The women are probably accompanying wives plus a few kids who didn't want to miss the great spectacle. One of the civilian men is wearing a bowler, another a straw boater, another a cloth duster. The rest look like army except for the sailor on the left.
