The Tax Collector's Story - 1 (The Making of ...)

OK, I took the plunge first. Edythe and I posted poems that we had previously written. Everyone is invited to post things they've written before (after all, how would we know?) but at WriteNow! we want you to keep writing new things, don't just share your old material. Share the old stuff, please share it, but write some new material for us too. Please.

I don't always write about myself but I'm the subject I know best. That's why I wrote, earlier today, "The Tax Collector's Story - 1". I posted it in the "Autobios and Bios" section. I don't quite know what to do with it and I don't yet know if it's a one-off or a continuing story. I'm just the author, I haven't thought that far ahead. I seldom do.

All of us need criticism and feedback. I hate that it's true, but it is. I'm no exception. I can't say that I welcome it, exactly, but how will I ever get better without it? It's my medicine. Give it to me, please, and I'll try to curb my resentments and learn from it.
