Writers write ... right here, right now

My thoughts today are swirling around with the oddities of the six-year old mind. My little boy, James, often opens up fascinating topics with the query "What Happens If..."
For instance, in line at the car wash... "What Happens If I go through the car wash without the car?" Or how about this one... "What Happens If you try to live at Fred Meyer's?"
"What Happens if I fall in the toilet? Will my brain get sucked out my bottom?" (Obviously he has not heard the Mister Rogers song, "You Are Too Big to Go Down the Drain").
Sometimes I answer him with "What Happens If you don't stop asking questions????"
Other times I enjoy the sparkle of curiosity he brings to my world. Maybe we should all ask "What Happens If" several times a day, just to find out.

Far be it from me to suggest that you don't have a six-year-old mind. And if you need another one, you can have mine. It's not doing much lately.

I liked Stephanie's story too. I'm waiting for the next one.

Thanks for making me smile. What happens if I can't stop?
