Writers write ... right here, right now

When I think of the people who have come in and out of my life there is only one person who has always stood by me, believed in me, loved me, taught me, laughed with me and cried with me. My Hero....... My Mother.
She is more that a mother she has held a standard of living life that I can only hope to live up to. She doesn't just watch life. She LIVES IT!! The people around her can feel it. She is filled with love, kindness, understanding, truth, warmth and giving.
Don't let it fool you though she is not one to be taken advantage of or bullied. She has been down that path and knows it well. Another of her great attributes she had to learn the hard way. Yet instead of becoming bitter she learned from it and moved on never to make that mistake again. She can now see right through people with those characteristics and knows to just walk away. She may never of had to live on the streets but she carries the street smarts necessary to carry her through any of the hustlers that come her way.
My Mother has stood by me and nurtured me through many difficult times. some of tose times neither one of us would have never have healed if we didn't hold our hands together, our heads held high, and our voices shouting strongly, "The Buck Stops Here!". We lost family and some friends when we did so but we gained a bond that can never be broken and health was restored to our family.
She gave me the strength to face my demons and let them go. My Mother has saved my life more times than even she knows. She is not just a pretty face or a soft spoken peace keeper.
She is wiser that anyone knows. She can move mountains, tame lions, beat cancer love the unlovable, and bring hope where hope seems lost.
She is my hero and I have so much more to say but I am going to stop right here. My heart is hurting I want to be with her now and I can not. Anyone lucky enough to know my Mother Edythe Stromme is blessed beyond their knowledge. I know my Dad knows this. Do you?

It is not a tribute it is the truth. Perhaps more children should tell their parents how they feel about them more often. You are neither dead or gone nor will you be for a long time. Every word I wrote is true. You just can not see yourself the way that I do. Too much clutter in that brilliant mind of yours blocking your true self. You are all I hope to be.......
